Mrigal fish farming project report per acre

Let's understand what arrangements you need to do to establish a Mrigal fish farm on one acre. Starting with the requirements first-

Requirements to start Mrigal fish farming

Pond making

Because Mrigal fish is carp fish, it can live in Pond culture. You can make a pond of cement and bricks.

It is always better to make multiple ponds on a big land so that if fishes get any disease then you can reduce them in a single pond.

In one acre area, you can make a 10x12 square meter pond which is enough to carry 200 Mrigal fishes. In one acre, you can make up to 30 similar ponds.

Tarpaulin sheet(optional)

Next, to make your pond leakage-free, you can use a market Tarpaulin sheet to cover the pond.

Although using a tarpaulin sheet is optional but still is reduce the chance of leakage up to 0%. For one pond, you need an 11x13 square meter tarpaulin sheet. For all 30 ponds in one acre, you need a 4300 square meter tarpaulin sheet.

Oxygen supply system

You need an oxygen supply system that can pump oxygen into each pond. It will help them to adjust to the pond culture.

30 oxygen supply systems in one-acre Mrigal fish pond, each of 1 horsepower in each pond.

Temperature required

Mrigal fishes live at moderate temperatures. In winters, the temperature decrease up to 15 degrees Celcius is not problematic for Mrigal fishes. In summers, you can cover the pond culture with the shelter to avoid the increase in water temperature.

Mrigal feed

You have to understand that you can't feed ordinary market food that floats on the water's surface. Mrigal fishes only consume food from the bottom surface of the pond.

You have to confirm that your feed must not float on the surface. You can ask the expert fish farmers about the feed timings and quality of feed for Mrigal fishes.

Total fishes in 1-acre pond

In one pond of 10x12 square meters, you can raise 200 Mrigal fishes. In 30 ponds per acre, you can raise 6,000 mrigal fishes easily.

Considering a 15% mortality rate(maximum), you will have left 5,000 fish in your one-acre area.

Mrigal fish farming investment

One time investment

  • Mrigal fish pond cost per acre- 3,00,000 INR(30 ponds)
  • Oxygen system cost- 4,50,000 INR/30 pieces

Total investment- 7,50,000 INR

Each cycle investment till harvesting

  • Mrigal fish seed cost- 3,000 INR
  • Feed cost- 50,000 INR
  • Water preparation cost- 30,000 INR
  • Maintenance cost- 10,000 INR

Total first cycle investment- 93,000 INR

Mrigal fish farming investment first year
8,43,000 INR(Including one-time investment+first cycle investment)

Mrigal fish farming investment second year
From the second year, your investment will reduce so that you just have to invest for each cycle investment of 93,000 INR to 1,00,000 INR

Mrigal fish farming investment third year

Third-year, you have to invest similar as you invest in the second year. You have to invest 1,00,000 INR.

Mrigal fish farming profit

  • Weight of 1 Mrigal fish- 600 gram
  • Weight of mrigal fishes per acre- 3,000 kg
  • Price of 1kg Mrigal fish- 140 INR/kg
  • Price of 3000 kg Mrigal fishes- 4,20,000 INR

The profit margin for the first-year harvesting

Because of a high investment of arrangements, you will not get any profit in your first year. You will be at a loss of 2,30,000 INR for the first year of harvesting.

The profit margin for the second-year harvesting

From the second year, you can sell the eggs laid by fish. A fish produce 1,00,000 eggs in one laying period. So suppose you have 1,000 fish to produce eggs, you will have 1 crore eggs.

If you get 0.20 INR for one egg then you can get up to 15,00,000 INR to 20,00,000 INR on just eggs.

  • Mrigal fish farming profit- 4,20,000-1,00,000 INR=3,20,000 INR
  • Eggs profit- 15,00,000 INR(estimated)

Total profit second year- 18,20,000 INR

Spirulina farming, project report per 1/4th acre, investment, profit per 1/4th acre, and challenges

There are very less veg options available that have the same or higher percentage of protein than meat. Spirulina is high in protein, quality diet, high in minerals, and we can consume them without cooking. Often, people call it future food.  There are very less farms of spirulina farming so its market price is very high. The spirulina farming business will become more profitable in the future. Let's understand the spirulina farming and project report for 1/4th acre. Spirulina farming  What is spirulina? Spirulina is a sea algae. Spirulina contains one of the highest percentages of protein in all diets. Vitamin B, K, antioxidants, and amino acid are some of the other major components of spirulina. One you start spirulina farming, you can harvest for next 5 months without adding or preparing any new culture.  There are two types of spirulina; human consumption and animal consumption.  We can harvest animal spirulina in the open-air pond but for human consumption, we use either a pol

Planter machine in agriculture, sections, types of planter machine, and working process

It is a big problem to sow seeds precisely. Sometimes, we scatter multiple seeds in a single spot, sometimes, spots are left empty. Also, it is hard to keep the line-to-line distance and plant-to-plant distance accurate all the time in bigger lands. This irregularity with seed sowing is very common but a big problem in traditional crop cultivation. In small fields, it is possible to check the regular pattern of seed sowing but in big hectares of land, it is almost impossible to count the regularity of seeds at the right spot.  Planter machines are very helpful to solve the problem. Let's understand the working of planter machines and their types. Planter machines in agriculture Planter machines help to sow seeds precisely in agricultural fields. It works automatically in multiple sections and maintains the line to line distance and seed to seed distance with correct accuracy. Planter machines operate from diesel and petrol.  Most of the planter machines are available as complementa

Biofloc fish farming project report, requirements, investment Cost, and biofloc Profit

Biofloc fish farming method is one of those methods in which the mortality rate of fish reduces to 1 to 2% maximum. It is a modern scientific method of raising fish. Instead of using pond culture for fish farming, Biofloc fish tank use. Biofloc fish farming is a process of raising fishes in which, fish can consume protein from their waste and care them from the effect of ammonia.  Biofloc fish farming In Biofloc fish farming method, a Biofloc fish tank is created for fishes in which they stay for at least 5 months. You don't need to invest much in their feed through the time of harvesting. Here we discussed the investment and profit estimation to make a biofloc tank and estimation till the end of first cycle of fishes.  There are many advantages of the Biofloc fish farming method as it cleans the water impurities for fish. It's a low-budget highly profitable method of raising fish.  Investment in the making of a Biofloc fish pond There are two phases of investment in biofloc fi

Onion farming yield per hectare, investment, and profit per hectare

In countries like India, there are several reasons of vary in onion prices. Before mentioning those reasons, let's understand the basic principle of it. Onion farming profit depends on quality of  onions, yield, and the demand of onions in market. If onion is enough in market then profit will be little lesser and vice versa. In India, every year hundreds of quintals of onions waste because of storage and management lack.    To understand the onion yield in a hectare land, first you have to understand structure and project of cultivation.  Onion farming yield per hectare In 1 Hectare(10000 square meters) agriculture land, produced onions yield most of the time varies. This number can't be certain all the time but there is a range between 100 to 120 quintals/hectare/yield.   Let's understand how this number can calculate or report direct from the cultivation side.  Configuration of onion plants Line to line, plant distance must be near 25 to 30 cm, plant to plant distance mus
